I’m back with another installment of Disney Details! The first Disney Details post was during Halloween Time and I had so much fun walking around the parks snapping photos and in my own little world that I decided to do it again!
This time, my friend Meredith from Nor Cal who’s also a Disney freak fan, was down in So Cal, so we decided to meet at Disneyland! She was the perfect partner to help me spot details because she simply enjoyed being in the parks and not in a rush to get from one ride to another. We had a blast catching up and gabbing about all things Disney.
Disneyland
Upon entry into the park, you’re greeted by the stunning backside of the train station. I loved the incorporation of the 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration decorations with the holiday decorations this year!
You can get specialty buttons to commemorate your visit, depending on the occasion, from City Hall. It’s always fun to get a birthday button on your birthday because the cast members write your name on it. I always love their penmanship :)
There were poinsettias and Christmas themed plants….
…and pretty window displays. I LOVE the window displays!
Garlands and wreaths were hung on buildings up and down Main Street. How cute is the wreath on the Little Red Wagon Corn Dog Cart?
I loved Critter Country’s décor. It’s simple and earthy, but festive!
This wagon is staged in front of Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue. Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue will be closing its doors on January 11, 2016 for the Star Wars Land expansion, so make sure to dine there if you can! It’s all you can eat barbecue ribs and chicken, with sides of cole slaw, beans, and corn. They also have grilled vegetable skewers upon request. Warren and I had the pleasure of dining there once and we preferred the ribs over the chicken.
During the holidays, the Jungle Cruise turns into the Jingle Cruise. The jokes are modified and just as corny, the safari animals have their own holiday touches, and I love it all the same.
New Orleans Square is so beautiful with all of it’s colorful touches.
Even the food carts were decorated and color coordinated to their respective lands.
Mickey’s Toontown is especially cute. The entire gang (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, & Chip ‘n Dale) decorate their homes :)
It’s a Small World Holiday is stunning and the light projection show that occurs every 15 minutes will stop you in your tracks every single time.
I have dozens of photos of Sleeping Beauty’s castle, but every time I visit, I’m compelled to take another :D It never gets old.
And it’s even better at night!
Disney California Adventure
Across the way from Disneyland is Disney California Adventure and it’s just as festive as Disneyland. This 60-feet tree is located at the end of Buena Vista Street and is lit daily at 5 PM thru December 24th.
Hollywood land had classic gold and white garlands draped on the buildings.
The Red Car Trolley was so cute with it’s garland, bows, and bells.
It was a nautical holiday on Paradise Pier.
Cars Land was my favorite. There were creative touches everywhere! Checkout the oil can and the strung car rims. Even the attraction signs were in proper attire.
And the trees of Cars Land…oh my! Who knew there are several ways to make a tree from automobile parts!
The Cozy Cone Motel was my favorite feature in the movie Cars and the dining area is pretty darn cute too! Love the mini cone ornaments on the cone tree :D
I hope you enjoyed taking in all the details with me! Until next time :)
Absolutely beautiful pictures!!! You have a wonderful eye, you brought out the beauty of Disney. Thank you for this lovely look.
